Artist's Comments

Yet another Storyboarding assignment. Something must have sparked the prof on this one cause I got a perfect score. I'm aware it's not perfect so it kind of surprised me.

Anyhoo, the assignment was to draw any type of vehicle in perspective. I slanted the horizon line to add a little interest. I've always like bi-planes, so I really like how this turned out.

Once again, full view is probably the best way to go.

Horray, Josh updates! Great drawing, I really like it. One comment though: when a prop plane is in flight, you wouldn't see the prop clearly like that. It's just kind of a whirling blur. This plane looks like it stalled and it's about to drop like a rock. :D

The perspective is hard to pull off on something like this, no doubt.

Ninjas are common and frequently fight in public.

that's the same thing the prof said...I definitely considered the whole blur thing, but if I DID do that, I was afraid it would take up too much of the picture, when the focus is supposed to be the plane.

I agree, though, if there's anything that I'm not satisfied with this piece, it's the whole propellor situation.

actually, the hardest part was drawing it in that perspective from indirect reference pictures. I had some issues with the wings for a while.

One thing, there is usally a small "wind sheild" in front of the piolys face.
